The Singers' Insight

Welcome to “Singers’ Insight”. My goal with this video/podcast is to share some insight into a performers everyday life. I meet so many interesting singers, conductors, directors, and other players in my career that I thought it would be great to have little chats with them to find out what they were like offstage. Kind of a person behind the artist thing… Many times opera lovers of all kinds have the impression that artists in Opera have a glamorous life, with jet setting around the world and adoring fans. While there is a bit of truth to this there is also the other side of a life on the road. Loneliness, stress, and trying to balance family life are just some of the hardships of an artists’ life in Opera. I have tried to keep the chats short and fun, mixing some music questions with life questions and hoping for a little candid fun as the outcome. There is no set order of questions and any topic is open. As I cannot interview every artist I work with, I talk with who is fun and also willing..! So, I will add more chats as I travel to different places and work with new people. I hope you enjoy hearing our little talks as much as I do having them.
