Episode 004: René Pape & Alain Altinoglu

Berlin is the setting for my 4th podcast where I was singing in a new production of Gounod’s Faust at the Staatsoper. In this episode I chat with Bass René Pape and Conductor Alain Altinoglu. Alain discusses his transition from rehearsal pianist to conductor, while René talks about his long career as a prominent opera singer.

Hi Charles! I don’t know if you remember me but I met you years ago, friend of Cathy Miller’s, where I cue supertitles (and am a pianist) for LA Opera. Just wanted to drop you a line that I came upon your website and love your podcasts! Great idea for singers and us others! So glad to see that you are having such a great career! all the best, Linda
